Billboard‘s website saw record traffic in August, reaching 13 million unique visitors during the month.

Along with sister publication The Hollywood Reporter, which reached 17.1 million monthly unique visitors, Guggenheim Media Entertainment Group is now the fourth most popular dedicated entertainment website, according to comScore. The record 29.6 million collective unique visitors trails only TMZ, E! Online and People.com.

Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group, which includes Billboard and THR, was formed in January, led by co-president and chief creative officer Janice Min.

“The rapid growth of The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard’s online audience demonstrates that consumers value the kinds of access and quality media we deliver in a crowded entertainment marketplace,” Min said in a press release announcing the record-setting month. “Our insight, authority and ability to deliver news, compelling stories, and lifestyle from the inside of two of the world’s sexiest industries is intoxicating and unrivaled in the digital space.”

Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter also saw huge social-media growth in August, with Billboard passing 3 million Facebook fans, pushing followers across all of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group social platforms to 12.3 million.

The traffic record follows the Min-led expansion of Billboard, including a magazine and website redesign, the launch of the Billboard + Twitter Real-Time Charts and an exclusive cover story with Chris Brown, his first interview since leaving prison.
