Big Deal Music Group has signed a deal with Gary Numan to exclusively represent the electronic artist’s work, it was announced Thursday (Nov. 1). The publishing group will now represent hit songs from the artist such as “Cars” and “Are Friends Electric,” which come from the albums The Pleasure Principle and Replicas, respectively.

“Gary Numan’s influence extends far beyond ‘Cars,’ which still stands as one of music’s defining new wave singles,” said Damon Booth, vp of A&R and client services. “Over a career that spans four decades, Gary’s output has been and continues to be incredibly impressive. We are so proud to be working with him here at Big Deal.”

The 60-year-old Numan continues to write and record new material and tour around the world. Though the North American leg of his tour recently ended, he is about to head out for a number of international shows. Over the summer, he performed with Beck at Chicago’s Riot Fest, an event that also included sets from the likes of Weezer, Elvis Costello, Run the Jewels and many more.
