Three years after the audio for Grammy-winning effort featuring guest spots from Jack White, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar and James Blake was released only on Tidal, a source close to Bey’s camp tells Billboard that the 65-minutes of audio will be available on all music streaming services on April 23. The news was first reported by Variety.
The move comes less than a week after Queen Bey premiered the Netflix live special Homecoming, partnered with a 40-track live album that also hit all streaming services. Lemonade, which features such beloved tracks as “Hold Up,” “Love Drought,” “All Night” and “Formation,” was originally released on Tidal on April 23, 2016. The movie won four prime-time Emmy Awards and the album snagged two Grammys (best urban contemporary album, best music video) and a Peabody award on its way to becoming one of the best-selling albums of 2016.
Beyoncé has already amassed 23 Grammy Awards, but experts predict that the surprise-release Homecoming could help her raise the total on her already record-setting 66 nominations when the nods for the 66th annual Grammys are announced later this year.
