Beyoncé Doubles Up in Top 10 on Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks Chart

Queen Bey features prominently on the week's highest debuts, assisting on tracks from Drake and Nicki Minaj. Plus, Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar seize No. 1 and A$AP Rocky notches two debuts.

It’s a one-two punch from Beyoncé on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart dated June 6, as the superstar claims supporting credit on the survey’s highest debuts.

First, she arrives alongside Drake on “Can I,” which enters at No. 5 after a 12-second snippet leaked online on May 17. (An unofficial full-length version has since reached the Internet.) Despite the leak, Drake can rejoice in collecting his 25th entry on Top Tracks, extending his lead for the most of any artist in the chart’s one-year history. Label mate Nicki Minaj, with 21 titles, ranks second.

Tidal Wave: Speaking of Minaj, the rapper can be thanked for Beyoncé’s second debut, as the pair’s “Feeling Myself” launches at No. 6. The high arrival comes after the track’s music video — which includes a soon-to-be-iconic hamburger eating scene — debuted May 18 exclusively on Tidal. Fan fervor over the surprise clip release spurred a massive gain in  streams — “Feeling” swells to 5.6 million U.S. streams for the week ending May 24, according to Nielsen Music, a gain of 226 percent.

Minaj grabs adjacent spots on Top Tracks as “Hey Mama” — billed as David Guetta featuring Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack — sprints 14-7. The song gains following the track’s music video arrival on May 19 and benefits from the first full tracking week since the pair’s performance at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. The double whammy lifts “Mama” 24-11 on Streaming Songs and sends it into the top 10 (11-8) on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Blood” Reigns: Thanks to a partnership with Kendrick Lamar and an extensive music video publicity campaign, Taylor Swift climbs 3-1 on Top Tracks with “Bad Blood.” Swift’s star-studded clip — which boasted 17 singers, models and actresses — earned 18 million U.S. streams for the week, a surge of more than 3,400 percent. As “Blood” pumps up to the penthouse, the track becomes Swift’s fourth chart leader from her 1989 album, following prior singles “Shake It Off” (one week), “Blank Space” (three weeks) and “Style” (one week).

Rocky’s Road: Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky also benefits from an unexpected release. The rapper announced on Twitter on May 25 that his sophomore album, At.Long.Last.A$AP, would drop that evening, one week earlier than its planned June 1 rollout. Thanks to the album buzz, Rocky scores two debuts on Top Tracks: “M’$” (No. 11) and “L$D” (No. 13). His pair of new arrivals follows the album’s previous singles “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2” (No. 23, February) and “Everyday,” which features Rod Stewart, Miguel and Mark Ronson (No. 14, May). At.Long.Last.A$AP is expected to debut at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart.
