Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line’s ‘Meant to Be’ Hits Top 20 on Streaming Songs Chart

It's Florida Georgia Line's first song to reach the top 20 since "Cruise."

Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s “Meant to Be” continues to become a match made in country-pop heaven, ascending into the top 20 of Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart dated Feb. 3.

The crossover hit leaps 27-19 with 18.4 million streams in the week ending Jan. 25, a boost of 14 percent, according to Nielsen Music. Its streaming increase comes after more promotion for the song on late-night television (including a Jan. 23 performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon), along with its continued rise on multiple radio formats.

“Meant to Be” concurrently climbs 19-18 on both the Pop Songs and Adult Pop Songs airplay charts and 27-24 on Country Airplay, pushing it 33-29 on the all-format Radio Songs chart with 38.7 million overall audience impressions, up 19 percent. It’s Rexha’s first song to crack the Country Airplay chart.

It’s Rexha’s second as a lead artist to reach the top 20 of Streaming Songs, following the No. 3 peak of 2016’s “Me, Myself & I,” with G-Eazy. Meanwhile, it’s Florida Georgia Line’s first top 20 since its debut hit “Cruise,” which peaked at No. 9 in June 2013.

The song is also right outside the top 20 of the On-Demand Streaming Songs chart, which measures on-demand audio streams only. It moves 25-24 with 7.9 million on-demand audio streams.

Its radio, streaming and sales increases (it’s also No. 5 on Digital Song Sales with 39,000 digital downloads) drive the track nearer to the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, jumping 17-12. It also leads the Hot Country Songs chart for a ninth week.
