Young The Giant and Alabama Shakes Mesmerize at Evolution Tour L.A. Stop
The tour will kick off with Bastille performing at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on June 23. The band then heads to Chicago and Los Angeles. Following, Passion Pit will perform at Atlanta’s Georgia Freight Depot on Sept. 3. And a to-be-decided band will perform at The Moody Theater in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 22. Local talent will support.
Bastille frontman Dan Smith teased new material for these shows, saying in a statement, “It’ll be fun to start playing people some of the new songs that we’ve been working on.”
Mercedes-Benz Evolution Tour: Alabama Shakes, Young The Giant, Mayer Hawthorne To Headline
The tour marks the return of Mercedes’ Evolution Tour, following last year’s with Alabama Shakes, Young the Giant and Mayer Hawthorne. It will showcase the luxury car company’s GLA and CLA compact models. Tickets will be made available to consumers through a social media campaign at www.mbevolutiontour.com where fans submit judged entries to win.
The Evolution Tour will also offer fashion and art components, including art activations by Gregory Siff and Zio Ziegler.
“Music is becoming one of the most important customer intersects at Mercedes-Benz as we reach younger customers through brand experiences,” said vice president of marketing at Mercedes-Benz USA Drew Slaven in a statement. “Last year’s Evolution Tour was a big success and we look forward to continuing the momentum with exciting new talent and immersive experiences.”
