No Joke: Badflower’s ‘The Jester’ Rules Mainstream Rock Songs Chart

Plus, Shinedown scores its 26th top 10, tying for the second-most in the tally's history.

Badflower earns its second career No. 1 (and second in a row) on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart, as “The Jester” jumps 3-1 on the Nov. 30-dated list.

The song follows the one-week reign of “Heroin,” Badflower’s first leader, on the May 25 chart. Each of Badflower’s three singles from its latest album, OK, I’m Sick, has hit the top two, as lead track “Ghost” reached No. 2 in October 2018.

On the all-rock-format Rock Airplay list, “The Jester” zooms 25-17 with 3.4 million audience impressions, up 22%, according to Nielsen Music.


Back to Mainstream Rock Songs, Shinedown?’s “Attention Attention” ascends 12-10. The band banks its 26th top 10, tying Van Halen for the second-most in the chart’s 38-year history. Tom Petty, solo and with the Heartbreakers, leads all acts with 28 top 10s.
