The Avett Brothers have announced a special New Year's Eve virtual celebration with a full band performance.

The Avett Brothers have announced a special New Year’s Eve virtual celebration with a full band performance. The event follows two drive-in concerts at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. earlier this year.
In a 12-day countdown to the event, Scott and Seth Avett have been announcing special guests via social media. As of today (Dec. 18), the brothers have revealed there will be appearances from Willie Nelson, Brandi Carlile, Ben Bridwell, Taylor Goldsmith, Mickey Raphael, Nicole Atkins, Alela Diane, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Pete Holmes and Judd Apatow. The virtual event will be hosted by comedian Dax Shepard.
More special guests will be announced leading up to the NYE bash.
New Year’s Eve concerts are a long-standing tradition for The Avett Brothers. This year will be no exception marking the band’s 17th annual New Year Eve’s performance. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, the band’s ritual will now be able to reach even more fans with the show being made available across the globe.
In August, the band released their latest album The Third Gleam. The eight-track release was a return to their roots following the more adventurous Closer Than Together, which was released in 2019. The band also just released an inspiring and moving rendition of Woody Guthrie’s classic, “This Land Is Your Land.”
Tickets are on sale now. More information and to purchase tickets for Avett Guild members is available here and general on-sale info and ticket sales here.
