Rock band Avenged Sevenfold is heading for its second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. Industry sources suggest the quintet’s new album, “Hail to the King,” should fly into the top slot next week with around 175,000 copies sold (through the week ending Sept. 1).
It could mark a new career-high sales week for the act, too. Their current biggest week was logged when their last release, 2010’s “Nightmare,” bounded in at No. 1 with 163,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The new Billboard 200 chart’s top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 4.
If “Hail to the King” moves more than 170,000, it will log the largest debut sales frame for a rock album since last September. That month, Mumford & Sons’ “Babel” launched with 600,000 sold.
Other albums in the running for high debuts next week include Big Sean’s “Hall of Fame” and Juicy J’s “Stay Trippy.” The former might move around 75,000, while the latter could shift 65,000. Both should start in the top five of the chart next week.
