Pop singer-songwriter Ava Max leads Billboard‘s Emerging Artists chart (dated Jan. 26) for the first time on the strength of her debut hit, “Sweet But Psycho,” which reaches a new high on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 36.
The song, which leads the Official UK Singles chart for a fourth week, drew 15 million in radio audience, 12.6 million streams and 13,000 in sales domestically in the latest tracking week, according to Nielsen Music.
“Sweet” also hits new peaks on Dance Club Songs (No. 2) and Pop Songs (No. 24).
Rounding out the Emerging Artists chart’s top five, Dean Lewis and Lauv hold at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, Jordan Davis leaps 8-4 and lovelytheband falls to No. 5 after seven total weeks at No. 1.
Gesaffelstein re-enters Emerging Artists at No. 8, a new peak, thanks to his collaboration with The Weeknd, “Lost in the Fire,” which debuts at a new personal-best rank of No. 27 on the Hot 100. He previously teamed with The Weeknd on “I Was Never There” and “Hurt You,” which reached Nos. 35 and 43, respectively, on the Hot 100 last April.
Plus, indie-pop group Kero Kero Bonito arrives at No. 11 on Emerging Artists, as its sophomore LP Time ‘N’ Place launches at No. 1 on Heatseekers Albums (2,000 copies sold), while EP Totep concurrently enters at No. 6 (1,000).
