Audiomack Launches Spanish-Language App, Names Maximo Souffrain Jr. Director of Latin Strategy

Youth-focused, free music streaming service Audiomack has announced the launch of a Spanish-language version of its app.

The initiative is spearheaded by newly appointed director of marketing and Latin strategy Maximo "Max Escobar" Souffrain Jr., who will begin outreach in the Dominican Republic on Thursday. That campaign will include a promotional tour and press conference featuring Audiomack's Spanish-language localization and Latin-focused efforts. Additionally, Audiomack has launched a new Latin content series called Prende La Cabina.

“It’s an honor to be part of a progressive and artist-first organization,” said Souffrain in a statement. “The first order of business is to spread awareness of Audiomack in Latin America and achieve the goal of becoming number one in music streaming for Latin music.”

Thursday's Dominican Republic press conference will include Audiomack users and ambassadors El Alfa, Bulova, Chimbala, Musicólogo, Don Miguelo, La Insuperable, Melymel, Luchy DR, La Manta, Frank Reyes, Tono Rosario and Omega El Fuerte.

Souffrain joins Audiomack from Konvict Latino, the Latin division to the Akon-owned company, Konlive, where he was vice president and helped sign Omega El Fuerte to the label. He is also the former manager of DJ Anthony Rey and executive produced rapper Chacka's mixtape Enero 6.
