A$AP Mob co-founder A$AP Bari is reportedly being sued for sexual assault by a woman who claims he threatened and exposed her naked in a video posted to the internet.
TMZ reports an anonymous woman is suing Bari for more than $1 million over an incident on July 9 in a London hotel where members of A$AP Mob were staying. The claimant says Bari burst into the room where she was sleeping and yelled, “You f—ed my assistant, now you are going to f— me.”
When the woman screamed no, she says the VLONE clothing line co-founder pulled the sheets off of her to expose her naked body, while Bari and a friend were both recording the incident on their phones. She then ran to the bathroom as Bari told her to “shut the f— up, bitch.” The video was uploaded to Bari’s friend’s social media and later removed, but not before it was re-uploaded to other websites.
In the documents, TMZ reports, the woman says Bari continued yelling at her while she was in the bathroom, telling her, “I’m going to f— you, you are going to suck my d—.” She says thought she was going to be raped and begged him to let her go. Eventually he threw her out naked into the hotel hallway, she claims. When she reported the incident to hotel security and asked they call the cops, police reportedly arrived and deleted the video from Bari’s phone.
The woman believes Bari attacked her because she rejected him at a nightclub the night before, according to TMZ. She also reportedly claims that Bari’s attorney pressured her to release a joint statement denying the assault, which she refused to do.
After the video’s release in July, Bari responded with a statement, saying, “We have resolved this issue amicably among all parties as adults. We were friends before this and will remain friends afterwards.” That same month Nike ended its relationship with Bari, having previously collaborated on several VLONE Air Force 1 sneakers and a pop-up shop.
