Armin van Buuren captures the top debut on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart with “A State of Trance Year Mix 2013” (No. 21), the 10th title in his “State of Trance” series to chart. Overall, it’s van Buuren’s 20th charted album, vaulting him ahead of Louie DeVito for the most entries in the chart’s 12-year history (see list, below). The immense 104-cut “State” includes van Buuren’s recent No. 10 Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart hit “This Is What It Feels Like,” featuring Trevor Guthrie.

YOU WON’T FORGET: Pitbull collects his 10th Dance Club Songs No. 1 as “Timber,” featuring Ke$ha, advances 3-1 (and tops the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Rap Songs). His 10th Dance Club Songs No. 1, “Timber” pushes Pitbull into a tie with David Guetta for the second-most leaders among solo male artists. Enrique Iglesias holds the record with 12. “Timber” marks Ke$ha’s second No. 1, following 2010’s “Your Love Is My Drug.”

BASTILLE BOUNDS: Alternative act Bastille storms up Dance/Mix Show Airplay (18-9) and Dance Club Songs (17-11) with “Pompeii,”  thanks to a slew of remixes. While the Kat Krazy and Tyde interpretations are featured on Bastille’s “Remixed,” which hit No. 21 on Dance/Electronic Albums in early November, remixes from Monsieur Adi, DJ Alex Rose and Nico Cipriano, among others, are also fueling radio and club play.

After topping Alternative Songs for four weeks beginning Oct. 26, “Pompeii” cracks the Hot 100’s top 20 this week (21-18). It bullets at Nos. 16 and 19, respectively, on the Adult Pop Songs and Pop Songs radio airplay charts.

AVICII ON THE ‘MAKE’: Avicii maintains his strong presence on the sales/airplay/streaming-based Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart as the recipient of two chart awards.

“Wake Me Up!,” in its record-extending 18th week at No. 1, is the Streaming Gainer, garnering 2.7 million U.S. streams, according to Nielsen BDS. Vevo plays account for 46% of the sum, which rises by 16%. Also making waves in the top 10 is his “Hey Brother” (9-7), which claims Digital Gainer honors (53,000 downloads sold, up 8%, according to Nielsen SoundScan). “Brother” concurrently climbs 40-32 in its second week on Dance Club Songs and holds at No. 4 for a fourth week on Dance/Mix Show Airplay.

Meanwhile, Avicii’s “You Make Me” rebounds 15-13 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. (Oddly, half its 18 weeks on the chart have been spent at No. 15.)
