Thank U, Next: How Ariana Grande Keeps Dominating With Each Single, on the Chart Beat Podcast
Guest Jagger of Kiss 95.7 discusses "God Is a Woman," "Breathin" & more.

Welcome to the Billboard Chart Beat Podcast, where each week co-hosts Gary Trust and Trevor Anderson, from the Billboard charts department, discuss why what’s on the charts … is on the charts, while also looking at current chart action in a historical context for even greater insights.
This week, Gary and Trevor cover moves on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200, including by Maroon 5, Marshmello, Bastille, Halsey, Sheck Wes and more. Plus, our weekly trip around the charts for a milestone for Lady Gaga, a return to No. 1 for Mariah Carey and new heights for Maggie Rogers, fresh off her Saturday Night Live performance last weekend.
Plus, WKSS (Kiss 95.7) Hartford, Conn., program director Jagger joins in to discuss Ariana Grande‘s domination of Billboard‘s Pop Songs airplay chart, where “God Is a Woman” becomes her fourth No. 1, as “Breathin” concurrently hits the top 10. The songs follow “No Tears Left to Cry,” the lead single from her album Sweetener, which led the list in July.
In the latest tracking week, “Woman” and “Breathin” were Kiss 95.7’s two most-played titles, according to Nielsen Music. “We have both songs in power rotation … and we have [only] five powers,” Jagger says. “These songs are monster hits.”
Meanwhile, “Thank U, Next,” the newest single from Grande, Billboard‘s 2018 Woman of the Year, is already scoring pop airplay, since its Saturday (Nov. 3) arrival.
