Arcade Fire scores a slot on Billboard's weekly Hot Tours recap with ticket sales reported from two venues in Mexico on the Canadian band's Infinite Content tour.

Arcade Fire scores a slot on Billboard’s weekly Hot Tours recap (see list below) with ticket sales reported from two venues in Mexico on the Canadian band’s Infinite Content tour. The brief trek to Mexico included two sold-out performances in the capital city’s National Auditorium on Nov. 29 and 30 followed by one show at VFG Arena in Guadalajara on Dec. 2. Sales at both venues reached $1.5 million from a total of 27,358 sold tickets. Opening for both dates was Colombian band Bomba Estéreo.
Arcade Fire previously visited Mexico on its 2010 tour with a handful of dates, including Mexico City’s Sports Palace. Another appearance in the city followed in 2014 at the Vive Latino Festival held in March of that year at Foro Sol stadium.
Arcade Fire’s 2017 tour launched in June ahead of the July release of its latest album Everything Now. It began with a summer trek throughout European countries featuring both headlining dates and festival appearances. A jaunt through U.S. and Canadian markets followed from early September into November prior to a Latin American run that included the shows in Mexico City and Guadalajara. Grosses from Europe were not reported to Boxscore, but sales from 23 reported concerts in the Americas totaled more than $10 million from over 180,000 sold tickets.
The Infinite Content tour is ongoing with dates booked in 2018 through the summer. A stretch of concerts in Europe is set to begin in April and will continue into June. Also on the books are a string of U.S. festival appearances in July.
