Apple Music has hired Lindsay Rothschild as head of creative services, music publishing, for North America.

Apple Music has hired Lindsay Rothschild as head of creative services, music publishing, for North America, Billboard can confirm.
Rothschild joins Apple Music from Google, where she served for four years as songwriter and publisher relations lead for YouTube and music publishing business development for YouTube and Google Play. Her prior experience includes leading Product Development at Disney Music Group and a variety of roles at Warner Chappell.
In her new role, Rothschild will build relationships with key creative/A&R music publishing teams and the songwriter community, develop opportunities for songwriters within the Apple ecosystem and assist the company’s creative partners in navigating Apple Music and unlocking “incremental value” within their musical compositions. She will also work with the Apple Music publishing team to develop opportunities with “key industry bodies, partnerships events & ambassadors.”
Rothschild started at Apple on April 29. Her hiring was first reported by Variety.
Apple Music’s publishing division was launched last year in an effort to improve the company’s relationship with music publishers. The company’s longtime legal and licensing executive Elena Segal is at the helm of the growing division.
