Anuel AA’s ‘KEII’ Hits No. 1 on Latin Airplay Chart

Anuel tops Latin Airplay with "KEII"

Anuel AA clocks his seventh No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart (dated May 2), as “KEII” jumps 6-1. The song leads the list in its 11th week on the survey and picks up a 48% increase in audience impressions (to 15.9 million) earned in the week ending April 26, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

“KEII” is Anuel’s first Latin Airplay hit where he’s unaccompanied by any other act. Out of his 18 total chart entries on the list dating back to 2017, his 17 earlier hits were all with at least one other artist. “KEII” is his first No. 1 of 2020, having last topped Latin Airplay with “Aventura,” with Lunay and Ozuna in November of 2019. His first No. 1 arrived in February of 2019 as “Ella Quiere Beber,” with Romeo Santos, crowned the list for one week.

“KEII” concurrently hikes 6-1 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart, also Anuel’s seventh No. 1.

Over on Hot Latin Songs, which blends airplay, streaming data and streaming activity, “KEII” bumps 10-9 despite a decline in streams and digital sales and takes the week’s Greatest Gainer Airplay honors.

Banda Los Recoditos Moves: Over on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart, Banda Los Recoditos ups its career top 10 count to 16, as “Elegiste Un Error” moves 14-9 in its third frame. The tune lifts with 3.8 million in audience (up 18%).

“Elegiste” is the Mazatlán band’s first top 10 in five months and first with new lead vocalist Eduardo Loiza. The tune follows “Esta Va Por Ti” (No. 10 peak, Dec. 2019).

Banda also sees an improvement on Latin Airplay, with a 42-34 climb in its second week.
