Anuel AA & Karol G’s ‘Secreto’ Hits No. 1 On the Latin Airplay Chart

Anuel and Karol G’s “Secreto” hikes 5-1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart (dated May 4) in its 12th week. The song rises with a 20% gain in audience impressions to 16.4 million in the week ending April 28, according to Nielsen Music.
“Secreto” follows the acts’ first live performance of the song at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Las Vegas on April 25.
Anuel scored his first No. 1 on Latin Airplay in February, when “Ella Quiere Beber,” with Romeo Santos notched a week on top.
Karol G collects her fourth No. 1 on the list. Notably, all of her leaders have been through collaborations, a run that began less than a year ago as the remix of “Mi Cama,” with J Balvin and featuring Nicky Jam, took charge on Aug. 25, 2018. She has also led with “Calypso,” with Luis Fonsi (Sept. 15), and “Créeme,” with Maluma (March 2).
Concurrently, “Secreto” tops Latin Rhythm Airplay for the first time, rising 4-1. Karol G earns her fourth No. 1 on the chart and Anuel, his second.
The pair previously collaborated on “Culpables,” which hit No. 8 on the airplay-, streaming and sales-based Hot Latin Songs chart in January. “Secreto” ranks at No. 5 on the survey, after reaching No. 4 a week earlier.
Christian Nodal Claims Regional Mexican Songs Crown: Elsewhere on the Latin charts, Christian Nodal claims his sixth No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Songs airplay list as “Nada Nuevo” bumps 3-1 with 9.5 million in audience, a 29% boost.
“Nada” is the twenty-year old’s second single from his second studio album, Ahora, due May 10. It follows “No Te Contaron Mal,” which ruled the tally for five weeks. Notably, out of Noda’ls seven charted titles on Regional Mexican Songs chart, six have hit No. 1, starting in April 2017 when “Adios Amor” claimed its spot at the top and ruled for seven weeks.
Concurrently, “Nada” enters the Latin Airplay chart’s top 10 for the first time, jumping 13-7.
Sech Dreams High: Plus, Panamanian newcomer Sech scores his first Top Latin Albums top 10 as Sueños, released April 19 via Rick Music, launches at No. 8 with 3,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending April 25, largely driven by streaming.
The reggaetón act also notches his first top 10 on the Latin Rhythm Albums tally as the set starts at No. 6.
