?Ansel Elgort, most prominently known for his acting roles in hit movies including The Fault in Our Stars and the Divergent series, continues to show off his many talents, as his new single “Thief” debuts at No. 22 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart (dated Feb. 25).

Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks (which began in June 2014) is a weekly ranking of the most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter in the U.S., ranked by the volume of shares over a seven-day period (Monday to Sunday).

“Thief” additionally drew 1.2 million on-demand U.S. streams and sold 9,000 downloads in the week ending Feb. 9, according to Nielsen Music.

Prior to his singing career, Elgort performed as a DJ under the name Ansolo, releasing several remixes through Size Records (owned and operated by Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello), and even appeared at Electric Zoo. The Ansolo single “Totem” spent a week at No. 28 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart (dated Aug. 9, 2014).

“[The ’80s were] a really great time in music when people really had to be great performers and also be great vocalists,” Elgort recently told Billboard of the era that inspired the sound of “Thief.” “I’m not planning to do every song ’80s, but it just so happened that way, and I was happy with it.”
