Alison Wonderland‘s Loner debuts at No. 3 on Billboard‘s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart (dated May 21). The set starts with 4,600 equivalent album units earned, including 2,800 from album sales, in the May 6-12 tracking week, according to Luminate.
Loner is the third top 10 for the Australian DJ, producer and singer, following two No. 1s: Awake (2018) and Run (2015).
On the multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, Alison Wonderland waltzes in with “Something Real” (No. 31; 523,000 official U.S. streams). It’s the fourth and highest entry from Loner, following “F— U Love U” (No. 41, December), “Fear of Dying” (No. 47, January) and “New Day” (No. 50, March).
Hot start: Kygo commands a No. 11 beginning on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with “Freeze.” It’s the Norwegian DJ/producer’s 56th charted title (dating to the chart’s January 2013 inception), second only to David Guetta’s 65. “Freeze” – available so far only with a run time of over eight minutes – drew 1.3 million domestic streams and sold 700 downloads in its first frame.
Concurrently, “Freeze” enters Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales at No. 4, marking Kygo’s 32nd top 10.
‘Pie’ charts: On Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Megan Thee Stallion scores her second top 10 and Dua Lipa adds her ninth with “Sweetest Pie” (14-7). In addition to top 40 mix show play, the original benefits from up-tempo David Guetta remixes, affording the track core-dance attention on SiriusXM’s Diplo’s Revolution and iHeartRadio’s Pride Radio. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on nearly 80 top 40-formatted reporters.)
On the Pop Airplay chart, the track bullets at its No. 7 high, having become Megan Thee Stallion’s second top 10 and Lipa’s seventh. The former ties her best rank, after “Savage” hit No. 7 in July 2020.
Top 10 ‘Touch’: Continuing on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, trance king Armin van Buuren advances to his ninth top 10 and singer-songwriter Sam Gray grabs his second with “Human Touch” (11-9). The collab is registering core-dance airplay on SiriusXM’s BPM, Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel and KMVQ-HD2 San Francisco.
