Stand-up comedian Ali Wong has announced two California residencies for her Milk & Money tour. Adding 18 shows to her already stacked 2019 tour, Wong will perform from between Sept. 7 through Oct. 6 at the Wiltern in Los Angeles and from Dec. 21-28 at the Masonic in San Francisco. Wong is repped by United Talent Agency.
Capping off her Milk & Money tour that begins with two shows on March 9 at Keller Auditorium in Portland, Ore., Wong will perform 8 shows in Los Angeles and 10 shows in San Francisco. Wong will take the stage Sept. 7, 8, 14, 15, 28 & 29 and Oct. 5-6 at the Wiltern. Wong will perform two sets a night on Dec. 21, 22, 27 & 28 at the Masonic, as well as single set nights on Dec. 23 & 26.
Wong has already sold out many of her previously announced stops in Minneapolis, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Detroit and seven shows in San Diego.
When asked why she doesn’t play venues larger than 3,500 capacity, Wong responded in a release, “It would a be a lot easier if I did. Then I could do one show instead of 10. But for me, 3,500 just feels too big. You really lose intimacy with the audience. And that intimacy is what makes live stand-up shows so magical.”
No cellphones, cameras or recording devices will be allowed at The Milk & Money Tour. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of their phones throughout the night, and if needed, may access their phones at designated Yondr unlocking stations in the lobby. All guests are encouraged to print their tickets in advance to ensure a smooth entry process. Anyone caught with a cellphone in the venue will be immediately ejected.
Tickets for the newly announced shows are on sale now. A full list of tour dates can be found at AliWong.com/tour.
