The 62-second earworm from the Disney+ and Marvel series WandaVision, “Agatha All Along,” is now a Billboard chart hit.
The tune, which plays at the end of the show’s seventh episode, “Breaking the Fourth Wall,” debuts at No. 36 on the Digital Song Sales survey (dated March 6) with 3,000 downloads sold in the tracking week ending Feb. 25, according to MRC Data. It also tallied 1.6 million U.S. streams in that span. The song was released Feb. 23 on the WandaVision: Episode 7 original soundtrack.
Kathryn Hahn (who plays Wanda and Vision’s neighbor, Agnes) is credited as an artist on the song, along with backup singers Robert Lopez, Eric Bradley, Greg Whipple, Jasper Randall and Gerald White. “Agatha” is the first Billboard chart entry for all six credited vocalists.
Hahn sings lead on “Agatha,” which reveals that her character is more than just Wanda’s silly neighbor on the series. The composition was inspired by the theme songs for ’60s sitcoms The Munsters and The Addams Family.
Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez wrote and produced “Agatha.” They previously penned the Grammy Award-winning smash “Let It Go,” among other songs. The married duo has tallied eight entries on the Billboard Hot 100 as songwriters. Here’s a chronological recap:
