Adele Scores First No. 1 on Dance Club Songs Chart With ‘Hello’ Remixes
The smash crowns a second Billboard dance chart.
Adele says “Hello” to the top of yet another chart, ascending to No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs survey (dated Dec. 26). Hiking 4-1, she earns her first leader on the list. An ever-expanding array of remixes fuels the monster smash, a ballad in its original form, to conquer clubs, including (but not limited to) those by Dash Berlin, Paul Damixie, W&W & Kenneth G, Pink Panda, EC Twins, Mike D, Ryan Skyy and Morten.
“Hello” is Adele’s second Dance Club Songs top 10; her James Bond theme “Skyfall” hit No. 10 in January 2013. Previously, she scored three entries on the chart, all from her 2011 album 21: “Rolling in the Deep” (No. 14), “Set Fire to the Rain” (No. 18) and “Someone Like You” (No. 24).

Meanwhile, “Hello” leads the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart for a third week, having become Adele’s first No. 1 on any Billboard dance chart. Here’s an updated look at the Billboard charts that “Hello” has crowned so far: the Billboard Hot 100 (for seven weeks running), Radio Songs, Digital Songs, Pop Digital Songs, Streaming Songs, On-Demand Songs, Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks, Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Dance Club Songs, Adult Alternative Songs, Adult Contemporary, Pop Songs and Adult Pop Songs. “Hello” parent album 25 has topped the Billboard 200 for three weeks, and Columbia Records has just confirmed that “When We Were Young” will be the set’s second single. On Monday (Dec. 14), Adele announced dates for her 2016 North American tour, her first in five years.
