5 Seconds of Summer are heading for their second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with their latest set, Sounds Good Feels Good. According to industry forecasters, the effort — which was released on Oct. 23 through Hi or Hey/Capitol Records — could earn around 185,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Oct. 29.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new Nov. 14-dated Billboard 200 chart is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s Web sites on Sunday, Nov. 3.
Sounds Good Feels Good is the follow-up to the band’s self-titled full-length debut, which bowed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 259,000 copies sold in its first week (according to Nielsen Music).
Also heading for a high debut on next week’s Billboard 200 chart is Carrie Underwood’s new album Storyteller, which may start in the No. 2 slot with around 160,000 units. It’s the country star’s fifth studio effort, and all four of her previous studio sets have reached the top two runs (with the last three all debuting at No. 1).
