Max Martin’s Hot 100 No. 1s as a Songwriter
Image Credit: Michael Tran/FilmMagic With Coldplay and BTS’ “My Universe” rocketing in at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated Oct. 9, 2021, pop mastermind Max Martin adds yet another No. 1, his 25th, to his history on the chart as a writer. (He co-wrote and co-produced the song, and also notches his record-tying 23rd No. 1 as a producer.) The Swedish-born Martin boasts the third-most No. 1s among writers in the Hot 100’s history, trailing only Paul McCartney (32) and John Lennon (26). As he celebrates having penned his 25th leader, here’s a look at all of Martin’s hooky, pure-pop Hot 100 No. 1s as a writer.
