Wednesday night, GLAAD board member and songwriter to the stars Justin Tranter helped to kick off this year’s Spirit Day with an intimate concert in Los Angeles. The event, billed as “Justin Tranter and GLAAD Present 'Believer' Spirit Day Concert” featured performances by Courtney Love, Hailee Steinfeld and more.
Other notable guests in attendance included Carly Rae Jepsen, Adam Lambert, Troye Sivan, 5 Seconds of Summer's Ashton Irwin, Sofia Carson, Darren Criss, Superfruit (Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi), Laura Marano, Chris Colfer, JoJo, Betty Who, Gigi Gorgeous, Brian J. Crum (America’s Got Talent), Tinashe and Parson James.
GLAAD’s Spirit Day campaign inspires millions around the world to wear purple or ‘go purple’ online in a unified stand against in a unified stand against bullying and to show support for LGBTQ youth. The event raised over $100,000 to aid in GLAAD’s continuing efforts to take a stand against bullying.
