Wilco are on a tear. After dropping a new album every two or three years for most of their career, the band is picking up the pace. Following last year’s surprise Star Wars freebie, Jeff Tweedy and company announced on Monday that another new album, Schmilco, is coming in the fall. The band’s tenth is due out on their dBPm label on Sept. 9 and is available for pre-order on iTunes now.
And that’s not all. After dropping the track “Locator” they’re also offering up another new song, the gentle, acoustic reverie “If I Ever Was a Child,” which you can download now if you pre-order the 12-track album.
The Schmilco tracklist:
“Normal American Kids”
“If I Ever Was a Child”
“Cry All Day”
“Common Sense”
“Nope”
“Someone to Lose”
“Happiness”
“Quarters”
“Locator”
“Shrug and Destroy”
“We Aren’t the World (Safety Girl)”
“Just Say Goodbye”
