Yoshimi and her pink robots will have plenty of friends to play with now that Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne and wife Katy have welcomed their first child. The 58 year-old singer of the psychedelic Oklahoma City rockers was overjoyed to announce the arrival of baby Bloom Bobby Coyne, sharing the news on Instagram with his typical emotion-filled enthusiasm. “Yay!!!!!!! Bloom is finally here ??????????????????——————??????????????????,” he wrote.
Like any new dad, Wayne could not get enough of his little miracle, sharing a string of pics of the happy family, including Bloom rocking a Lips onesie. “Baby Bloom is ready to rock!! Thank you everyone for ALL your wonderful comments ???????? @katy.coyne and I are the luckiest luckiest ????????and soooo grateful to the most badass smart and loving baby delivery squad evva!!” he wrote. Even a string of crazy storms that blew through OKC over the weekend couldn’t dampen Coyne’s irrepresible good humor.
