Coldplay has been sprinkling all kinds of covers into their sets during their ongoing U.S. stadium tour, tipping the hat to everyone from Prince and David Bowie to Chuck Berry and the Penguins with Back to the Future star Michael J. Fox. They continued the practice on Saturday night during a show at Philly’s Lincoln Financial Field, where singer Chris Martin busted out the location appropriate 1994 Bruce Springsteen track “Streets of Philadelphia” from the Philadelphia soundtrack.
Martin got the solo acoustic run going by strumming his paint-splattered acoustic guitar, grabbing the mic stand with both hands and drawing a big whoop from the crowd when the hit the refrain, “on the streets of Philadelphia.”
