A neon-green snake slithering over picturesque grapefruits and blueberries opens the video for Vampire Weekend’s single “Harmony Hall,” unveiled today (Feb. 20).
Frontman Ezra Koenig wears a baby blue robe as he makes pancakes for his fellow bandmates as well as other friends, including British singer-songwriter Blood Orange (Dev Hynes) and actor-slash-director Jonah Hill, who make cameos in the five-minute long video.
The playful concept video for the uplifting tune was directed by Emmet Malloy, who also directed the NYC-based band’s videos of their 2010 hit singles “Giving Up the Gun” and “Holiday.”
The video comes on the heels of the release of “Harmony Hall” and “2021,” only two of the promised 16 tracks that will appear on their highly anticipated double album, Father of the Bride — their first album in almost six years.
