The family that makes over together stays together. Or so it appears in a new makeup tutorial clip posted by Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker’s 15-year-old daughter, Alabama.
On Tuesday (March 30), the teen posted a cute Instagram clip in which she used foundation to cover up some of her dad’s iconic face ink, blotting away the anchor next to his right eye and the “blessed” script on his left cheek.
“My dad let me give him a makeover. Covered up his face tattoos with @kvdbeauty’s new Good Apple Foundation,” she wrote in a caption to the 90-second clip. “The coverage of this formula had us both shocked.”
With proud Pops sitting next to her in a white t-shirt, Alabama explained, “Today we are going to be trying to cover up his face tattoos with KVD’s new product Good Apple… I have to figure out what shade he is, so let’s get to it.”
Grabbing a brush, Alabama cycled through a series of shades before finding the right one to match Trav’s skin tone. While she did her business, Alabama asked the heavily inked rocker where he got his first tattoo — it’s on his leg — as well as which one is his favorite.
Spoiler alert, it’s the “blessed” one she’d just covered up! When he turned the other cheek to blend out what she called the “handkerchief” under his right eye, dad politely explained that it’s an anchor, or, as he joked, an “anchorchief.” They had a couple laughs over her mispronunciation, but when Alabama pretended to go after the flag on the side of his neck with her brush, Travis got mock angry and pulled away.
“Dad!” she said while trying to finish up the job and show off her handy work.
