As the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers prepare to face off for a third consecutive year in the NBA Finals on Thursday (a first in the league’s 71-year history, by the way), Train frontman Pat Monahan will be lending his vocals for a performance of the national anthem before Game 1.
Monahan, a Bay Area native, will also be singing in front of his hometown, as the teams invade the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. The Grammy winner is also no stranger to sports: NFL star Marshawn Lynch recently made a cameo in Train’s wild “Drink Up” video.
