The Killers have always reveled in the fact that they’re essentially Las Vegas’ hometown rock n’ roll heroes, and in the band’s latest music video, they pay homage to their glitzy, over-the-top city.
On Wednesday (June 28) The Killers released the music video for their recent single “The Man.” The flamboyant new visual sees the band’s frontman Brandon Flowers portraying several Sam’s Town personalities — a desert king, gambling god, stage star, and womanizer — all in cohesion with the song’s sarcastic self-affirming lyrics.
Almost a short film in itself, the video for “The Man” is lavish in glamor, partying, and success, at least until the girls, money, and fame go away, and “the man” finds that he may no longer be at the top of his game.
