Los Angeles-based rock band The Darbies released the music video for their dark, rowdy single “End of the Love,” exclusively available on Billboard below.
The song comes from their first EP, Serpentine Son, made up of four songs including “End of the Love,” which was released during the summer in support of their upcoming fall tour. The video shows the band jamming out on a rooftop and cuts to scenes of a party that has a black-magic vibe complete with shots of girls blowing candles out directly into the camera. The band is inspired by ’60s, ’70s and ’80s rock eras, which is apparent both in their sound and style of dress.
“The place where we were shooting the video and the clothes and style which we were in took us back into a different time period,” frontman Roni Dave said in an emailed statement. “Suddenly we felt transported. The rooftop looked out unto the city took us away, an escape from the love that bequeathed us.”
