If you want a peek in The Cure singer Robert Smith’s personal playlist you might find some clues in the lineup for the first Pasadena Daydream Festival, curated by the band. The Goldenvoice-promoted all-star Aug. 31 show in Pasadena, California, will take place at the Brookside at the Rose Bowl — site of past Arroyo Seco Weekend festivals — and feature a headlining set from The Cure, as well as performances by the Pixies, Deftones, Mogwai, Throwing Muses, Joy Formidable, Chelsea Wolfe, Twilight Sad and more.
The legendary mood rockers were recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and are gearing up to perform 30th anniversary Disintegration shows at the Sydney Opera House (May 24, 25, 27, 28, 30), before playing a series of European festivals in June, July and August.
Tickets for Pasadena Daydream will go on sale on Friday (May 17) at noon local time here.
