After starting their 2018 by swooning over “French Girls,” rising rock group Swimming WIth Bears are ready to “Take It Easy” as they head into summer with a brand new single.
The Austin-based foursome — singer Joe Perry, guitarists Alec Conte and Jon Kerr, and drummer Ryan Hannasch — released their latest tune today (May 10), with the funky track’s lyric video premiering on Billboard. “Take It Easy” combines dreamy synths with gritty guitar, as well as Perry’s raw voice and chanting back-up vocals that all make for a wavy, yet anthemic tune.
The vibey track is certainly one that allows for listeners to do just as the title says, which is part of the reason the Swimming With Bears guys were eager to release it. “Since we’ve been freaking out about our latest release, we thought it only appropriate to relax a little and bring you our newest single ‘Take it Easy,’” they shared.
Following the release of their self-titled EP in 2016, Swimming With Bears joined fellow rockers Weezer and Panic! At the Disco on tour. Now on tour with The Cukoos, the group is ready to release more music throughout the year as they’ve been working hard in the studio — but for now, “Take It Easy and listen to their latest offering.
