Ozzy Osbourne shows why he’s the ultimate Prince of Darkness on the thrashing new track “Straight to Hell,” out today (Nov. 22). The rock icon kicks it off by yelling his signature “Alright now!” phrase — so you know he means business — before leaning into the song’s intimidating lyrics.
“You’re flying higher than a kite tonight / You took the hit and now you feel alright,” Osbourne chants. “You’re deadbeat’s dead so we must celebrate / I’ll make you scream, I’ll make you defecate.”
Then, in the midst of a choir’s wails, maniacal laughs and pounding drums, none other than Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash appears to serve some devilish riffs.
“Straight to Hell” follows the boisterous “Under the Graveyard,” which marked Osbourne’s first new single in almost a decade. The artist is gearing up to release his forthcoming album Ordinary Man in early 2020, which will coincide with the No More Tours 2 tour featuring special guest Marilyn Manson.
Osbourne will also take the stage alongside Post Malone and Travis Scott at the American Music Awards this Sunday (Nov. 24), where the trio will perform their “Take What You Want” collaboration.
