St. Vincent has had a very good week.
First, the indie rock auteur received high praise for her “mind-blowing, body-moving” set at Coachella Friday (April 13). The following day, she learned that Jack White had used her signature guitar by Ernie Ball during his performance on Saturday Night Live.
“JACK WHITE PLAYED MY GUITAR ON SNL LAST NIGHT!! WHA?!!! F— YES!! #snl #ernieball,” St. Vincent tweeted along with a photo of White playing the slick-looking guitar.
St. Vincent designed the guitar — available in Polaris White, Heritage Red, Tobacco Burst, Stealth Black, and “Vincent Blue” — in partnership with Ernie Ball. The musical instrument shipped in 2016 and retails for $2,399.
Here’s how Ernie Ball describes the guitar: “Featuring an African mahogany body, Ernie Ball Music Man tremolo, gunstock oil and hand-rubbed rosewood neck and fingerboard, St. Vincent inlays, Schaller locking tuners, 5-way pick up selector with custom configuration and 3-mini humbuckers.”
