Slipknot‘s frontman Corey Taylor announced Sunday that he’s engaged to his girlfriend Alicia Dove. The pair took to social media over the weekend to share the happy news.
Taylor shared a photo on Instagram to show off his fiancée’s sparkly new ring and share the excitement with fans, while tagging Dove and captioning the photo “L’adorilust. Forever. And Ever.”
Dove posted the same photo, with the same caption on her Instagram account as well.
But Dove did share new details on her Twitter account, where a fan on Twitter wanted to know how Taylor proposed, and Dove replied: “After breakfast at home. As I put the salsa back in the fridge I shut the door and he was standing there with a ring. Got down on one knee, and I immediately started crying on the floor with him. In our kitchen. In our sweats, nothing fancy. It was fucking perfect.”

There has been no word on a date for the big wedding. But fans can still look forward to Slipknot’s long-awaited new album, which is set to be released on August 9 of this year.
The band is also preparing for their Knotfest Roadshow this summer, kicking off on June 7 in Finland. The North American leg of the tour begins July 26 in Mountain View, Calif. Check out the full list of dates here.
