After a busy year that included the release of companion albums Vol. 1: Prayers for the Damned and Vol. 2: Prayers for the Blessed, Sixx: A.M. closed the book on 2016 by joining co-headliners Five Finger Death Punch and Shinedown for a U.S. arena tour that launched in the fall.
Out of 27 dates, the 13 that promoters reported to Billboard Boxscore yielded a total gross of $4.8 million and more than 83,000 tickets sold. The tour also included a charitable component: $1 from every ticket was earmarked for Thorn, the organization co-founded by Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore that uses resources within the tech community to help combat child sexploitation.
To commemorate the successful tour, Sixx: A.M. put together a highlight reel of performance footage. Watch the clip below:
“2016 was a huge year for Sixx:A.M. We released two full-length albums, toured the globe and made a lot of new fans,” says singer James Michael. “Our current single, ‘We Will Not Go Quietly,’ perfectly sums up our attitude and our passion for what we do. This video clip reminds me of how much fun it is to be a part of a gang whose mission is to travel the world connecting with fans and having a great time in the process. It always amazes me that Sixx:A.M.’s music can create such incredible experiences and provide so many amazing memories. This band is firing on all cylinders and is ready to take the world by storm in 2017.”
“We Will Not Go Quietly” has been featured as the opening theme for the second season of A&E’s Gangland Undercover. It is currently No. 17 on the Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
