Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks joined forces on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday evening (Dec. 5), for a rollicking performance of “Prove You Wrong.” The song is featured on Crow’s latest collaborative album Threads, released earlier this year, and serves as a rocking kiss-off anthem to an ex.
On “Prove You Wrong,” Crow and Nicks traded verses effortlessly as they promise an ex it’d be easy to move on after a relationship’s end. With rivetting electric guitar, a thumping beat, tambourine accompaniment by Nicks and powerhouse vocals from each singer, the pair’s performance shined.
Thursday night’s collaboration wasn’t the first time the two singers shared the stage this month. Earlier in the week, they stopped by The Ellen Show to sing “Redemption Day” and “Prove You Wrong,” while during Crow’s headlining show Wednesday evening at Los Angeles’ The Theatre at Ace Hotel, Nicks surprised the audience with “Prove You Wrong” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide.”
Before she introduced Nicks to the stage Wednesday evening, Crow praised her voice as “otherworldly and magical.” “I’ve known Stevie for a lot of years. For me, this is the best high,” Crow continued before the pair launched into “Landslide.”
