During a Prophets of Rage performance in Auckland, New Zealand, the trio of Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk took a moment to pay tribute to their fallen front man Chris Cornell. Revisiting their old Audioslave classic “Like A Stone,” the band invited System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian to the stage to fill in for the late Rock and Roll legend.
After the stellar performance, Cornell’s widow, Vicky, praised the band on Twitter: “Thank you for your love, honoring and keeping Chris Cornell’s memory alive,” she wrote. “I know he was with you all tonight.”
