
Veteran rock star Scott Weiland, who was found dead on his tour bus Dec. 3, was laid to rest in Los Angeles Thursday, Dec. 10.
Scott Weiland, Former Stone Temple Pilots Singer, Dead at 48
A funeral for the former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman was held at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, according to an Instagram post by Chris Kushner, the wife of Velvet Revolver guitarist Dave Kushner.
“A very sad day when u bury a friend. He was a good man. Don’t believe everything u read. Remember, we were all there,” she captioned alongside a photo of her husband with Weiland.

Kushner also noted that the memorial was “filled (with) love and funny beautiful stories about Scott.”
Weiland, 48, died in Bloomington, Minn., while on tour with his band, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts. A cause of death has not been determined, although police confirmed that small amounts of cocaine were located in the tour bus bedroom where his body was found.
