English rock duo Royal Blood brought a rockin’ performance to The Late Late Show on Tuesday night (Jan. 16) when they ripped through their hit “I Only Lie When I Love You” for the Stage 56 audience.
Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher formed back in 2013 and have achieved major success in both the UK and America, most recently with the group being nominated for Best British Group at the 2018 BRIT Awards.
With Thatcher on the drums and Kerr lending his vocals and playing guitar, the duo withheld any flashy set pieces or lighting to let their musical talents shine on James Corden’s late night stage. “I Only Lie When I Love You“ is Royal Blood’s second No. 1 from their 2017 sophomore release, How Did We Get So Dark. The group is set to venture out on their own headlining U.S. tour beginning in May and lasting through June, including a set at the Boston Calling Music Festival (May 25-27).
