
For years Rolling Stones fans have known of a bootleg version of “Brown Sugar” featuring Eric Clapton on slide guitar, but finally the dream collaboration is getting an official release.
Rolling Stones Share Alternate ‘Dead Flowers’ Version With Much Different Vocals
The alternate version of the Sticky Fingers opening track will included on the band’s upcoming reissue of that set, due out June 8.

The Clapton version of “Brown Sugar” was recorded 18 December, 1970, at Olympic Studios in London at a birthday party for guitarist Keith Richards. It also features Al Kooper on piano.
