Red Hot Chili Peppers surprised the students at Viewpoint School in Calabasas, Calif. with an unexpected Halloween concert on Wednesday (Oct. 31).
The rock group made their onstage appearance to join the students in celebration during the school’s Great Pumpkin Day Assembly. Clad in costumes, the Red Hot Chili Peppers treated students to a performance of their 2002 hit song “Can’t Stop.”
The band’s choice to play at Viewpoint School was no accident; it’s the same school that drummer Chad Smith’s children go to.
“Who rocks out at 9:30 am at my kids’ school?” Smith tweeted after their performance. “We do!”
