When Radiohead announced a slew of tour dates earlier this week, fans everywhere set an alarm on their phone for Friday (March 18), when a majority of tickets were set to go on sale.
However, within just minutes of being released, tickets at every headline show were sold out — and even Thom Yorke was mad.

Following the quick sellout, the Radiohead frontman took to his personal Twitter to express his anger with the process. “I’m as f—ed off as you are,” Yorke wrote, “and am only human.”

Tickets sold out so quickly that even Alt J drummer Thom Green couldn’t score a pair upon release.

Although it is inevitable that fans turn to secondary sites like StubHub for tickets, the band is adamant that fans double-check the rules of the venue before buying a ticket online.
The band warned on Twitter: “MANY OF THE TICKETS WILL BE NAMED & STRINGENT ID CHECKS WILL BE IN PLACE; YOU RISK BEING REFUSED ENTRY TO THE VENUE.”
All headline shows are now sold out. Despite the strict rules, tickets inevitably will find their way onto secondary ticketing sites…

As of now, the cheapest tickets on StubHub for a larger venue like Madison Square Garden start at $180, a hefty markup from the $80 the venue charged.
In London, where there were fewer than 10,000 tickets available total for three shows, £65 tickets are showing up on the secondary market for as much as £1,400, The Telegraph reports.
