Garage punk band Radioactivity says that while writing upcoming album Silent Kill, their guiding principle was clear: “providing garage punk pleasure at all costs.” They accomplish their mission deftly with their latest single “I Know,” an upbeat ode to (as always) some toxic yet unquittable lady.
“‘I Know’ was the first song written for our second album and helped me formulate the idea of how the album should sound as a whole,” says frontman (and Marked Men alum) Jeff Burke. “I wanted the songs themselves to be catchy, but without the use of overly poppy vocal melodies.”
Silent Kill will be the sophomore album from the group, which brings together punk veterans of both the Marked Men and Bad Sports. Listen to “I Know” below, ahead of its June 30 release via Dirtnap:
