Last month, PVRIS shared the debut single from their sophomore album, and now, the goth-tinged electro-rockers followed it up with the strongest song they’ve shared to date.
The second helping from All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell (due Aug. 4 via Rise Records) is a darkly danceable banger called “What’s Wrong.” The sonic specters of My Chemical Romance and Nine Inch Nails hang in the air, while vocalist-guitarist Lynn Gunn channels the tortured spirit of Bad Romance-era Lady Gaga (think “Dance in the Dark,” especially). The music video features Gunn alongside guitarist Alex Babinski and bassist Brian MacDonald, the trio cornered in a macabre dinner party with the moves to match their newfound dance groove. Like their album artwork and previous video, it’s shot entirely in black and white. There’s a very good chance we won’t be seeing a third color from them this album cycle.

All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell follows PVRIS’ 2014 debut White Noise. To go along with the new record, the band recently announced a slew of world tour dates to go with a handful of remaining shows with Muse and Thirty Seconds to Mars.
