On Saturday (Jan. 30), Louis C.K. fans got a big ol’ surprise in the form of an unannounced 67-minute pilot of a new web series from the comedian. Those who dug into his new comedy Horace and Pete uncovered another little gem — Paul Simon wrote the theme song.
Stereogum points out the acoustic ditty comes in at the intro, intermission and closing of Horace and Pete, and that it contains lines like, “I can’t complain about my problems / I’m okay the way things are / I pull my stool up to the bar.”
Here’s a little preview:
The comedy stars Louis and Steve Buscemi as brothers who run the titular dive bar; judging by early reviews, it sounds like a C.K.-branded mash-up of Cheers and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Other stars include Alan Alda, Edie Falco and Jessica Lange.

And because he’s Louis C.K., he’s able to host a big-time web series on his own, free from a platform like Netflix. The pilot is currently available on his official website.
